Why Le Bonheur Children's for your child's emergency?
Our emergency room is the only place in the region with a full staff of pediatric specialty doctors available 24-hours a day. Our team of emergency doctors and nurses work with children every day. These experts know what your child needs in an emergency and quickly provide specialized care.
Every year, more than 90,000 children are cared for in our emergency room. This means that we have more experience than any other hospital in the region in diagnosing and treating children.
As part of a comprehensive children’s hospital, our emergency room has access to the more than 150 pediatric specialists at Le Bonheur day or night.
Our emergency room is specifically designed for kids and staffed with child life specialists. From smaller needles and special distraction techniques, everything we do is focused on making kids as comfortable as possible.
As the only in our region, the entire emergency team is trained on the latest techniques for treating major and minor traumas in children, including dental trauma. Our specialists contribute to emergency care for all children by publishing research on improving care.
PediFlite, our dedicated transport service, transports approximately 2,000 children each year via ambulance or helicopter for specialized care.
