Meet Our Anesthesiology Team
Le Bonheur is the only hospital in the region with board-certified experts in pediatric anesthesiology. Our physicians have extensive training including an extra fellowship dedicated to pediatric anesthesiology: four years of medical school, one year of internship and three years of residency in anesthesiology. Our anesthesiology team works alongside surgeons and are best qualified to evaluate complex medical problems and plan a safe anesthetic for each child.

Naudia James is an Anesthesia Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate in nursing from Union University. She specializes in preoperative assessment and evaluation. She is a member of the Greater Memphis Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Association.
Katie Mason is an Anesthesia Nurse Practitioner specialized in preoperative assessment and evaluation. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is board certified as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
Cassandra Newsome is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in perioperative care. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing. She is a recipient of the DAISY Award for extraordinary nursing and is a member of the Greater Mid-South Area Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Greater Memphis Area Advanced Practice Nurses.
